Land Campaign

Since Teen Factor became incorporated in 2004, the long-term vision has always been to operate a group home to meet the needs of at-risk teens. The opportunity to make that vision a reality is here. After much prayer and beginning the due diligence process, the Board of Directors unanimously approved placing an offer on land in Ijamsville, Md.

The 32-acre property is a farm located in Frederick County, just outside of Urbana. It boasts a large farmhouse with a wrap around porch, two ponds, an Olympic size swimming pool, several barns and a garden shed. The property has been in foreclosure since January 2009.

Although the home is not in mint condition, it has tremendous potential to meet the needs of Teen Factor. This is where your help is needed.

A $400,000 loan will be taken out to help finance the property. An additional 350,000 will need to be raised in 90 days in order to finish the financing and get the property up to par. The board has estimated that initially, upon loan approval and fixing up the home, four slots for teenagers would be available within a few months.

While this is a big step, it is also exciting. We desperately need your prayers and financial support to raise the remaining $350,000. Also, please share the news with your friends and those in your churches. Your partnership and financial donation isn’t just for Teen Factor, it is for a teen who needs your help. This facility will allow us to renew and restore at-risk teens.
